Chile 2022
I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to Chile in November 2022 with LightMindedTours.com (Wayde Carroll & Matt Estrada).
We spent a fair amount of time in Santiago at the beginning of the trip. The city, while entertaining with lots of markets, wall art, parks and over 7 million people (!!), was not what our group of nature and wildlife photographers yearned for and we were itching to get out into the wilds.
Fortunately, after a few days in Santiago and Valparaiso (cool coastal city by the way) we headed down to Patagonia, specifically to Torres del Paine National Park. There we had an abundance of phenomenal landscapes and wildlife including pumas, guanacos, parakeets, fox, flamingos, penguins, sea lions and even a hairy armadillo! I was in absolute heaven there for capturing incredible landscape shots with skies ablaze and mountains climbing to the sky.
I do wish we had even more time in Patagonia as the beauty there just fills your soul. For now I will have these photographs to look back on and marvel in the beauty of Patagonia.
