A collection of photos of different things such as common objects, exhibits, art or even the application of different photography techniques. Currently, the bulk of these photos are of the Chihuly Exhibit at the de Young Museum.

Cokie > Light Dancing on Pool of Water. This image is from a very shallow pool of water in a hotel lobby (the Westin in San Diego). This was a very dark corner of the lower level of a lobby. When riding an escalator, I noticed that a thin beam of light was dancing on the water. So I went back down the escalator to visit the pool of water. By using a slow shutter speed, I was able to "widen" the beam into these milky textures.

Cokie > This is a beautiful, tall vase in the Armstrong Garden Center (Novato, CA) with pink and blue lights in the background. I used a shallow depth of field to blur the lights.
Cokie > Color collage-1, Dahlia Garden, SF Conservatory. This shot is a bed of flowers. I set a slow shutter speed, focused in on a group of flowers, and as I pushed the shutter button, I moved the camera about a quarter turn in a clockwise direction to achieve this effect.
Cokie > Color collage-2, Dahlia Garden, SF Conservatory. This shot is also a bed of flowers. I again set a slow shutter speed, focused in on the flowers, and this time as I pushed the shutter button, I moved the zoom in on the zoom lens to achieve this effect.
Cokie > Color collage-3, Dahlia Garden, SF Conservatory. Same as the last shot: This shot is also a bed of flowers. I set a slow shutter speed, focused in on the flowers, and this time as I pushed the shutter button, I moved the zoom in a little faster to achieve this effect.
